The Retractable Paddle was inspired by a centuries old fishing paddle used by the Nuxhalk Tribe of the Northwest Coast. This product design was prototyped in Vellum Solids and Vellum 3D software.

The paddle was designed for and entered into the Marine Design Resource Alliance Awards, receiving Honorable Mention.
